TEREX UK APPOINTS NEW GENERAL MANAGER

As part of their strategy to realign and strengthen their operations and improve customer service, Terex Construction UK has appointed Duncan McWilliam as its new General Manager. Duncan will play a key role in developing the company’s core strategy of actively responding to the changing needs of their current and future customers. He will also help to continue the growth of the Terex brand® throughout the UK.

Duncan joins Terex from Finning UK Ltd, the UK Caterpillar dealer, where he worked as Construction Equipment Operations Director. Duncan started his career overseas in the oil and gas industry with Schlumberger, before returning to the UK to work in various senior international roles in General Management, Sales and Marketing, and Customer Support within The Chloride Group, Reebok and TNT Express Worldwide.

Within his role, Duncan will report directly to John Lupton, Regional Director of Terex Construction. John, who manages the UK, Ireland and Southern African markets of Terex Construction, said: “We are very excited about Duncan strengthening our team. His experience and drive will prove vital in our quest to realign our UK activities to deliver truly meaningful value for our customers.”

Commenting on his appointment, Duncan added: “Opportunities in the construction market are increasing every year. The Terex brand® is in a position to establish an even greater presence in the UK market, providing us with the opportunity to further grow the UK business. I’m relishing the challenge of leading a team of enthusiastic individuals who all have customer relations as their common focus. Throughout the coming months we will be working on our key strategic intent of delivering results to customers.”
