Brammer practises what it preaches

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

BRAMMER – which is encouraging customers to switch to more energy efficient products – is installing EFF1 electric motors throughout its National Distribution Centre.
The UKs leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products has begun a replacement programme at the £10m state-of-the-art building, in Wolverhampton.
All motors, including those running the many conveyors, will be replaced by EFF1 types, which deliver significantly lower energy costs compared to conventional electric motors.
Purchasing and logistics director Brynn Woods said: “We are always encouraging our customers to use more energy efficient products – whether motors or drive belts – so it‘s incumbent upon us to use them, too.
“And like our customers, we’re reaping the benefits of more efficient operation, which reduces energy consumption and saves money.”
EFF1 motors reduce energy loss by an average 40%, and the payback on the initially higher purchase price Is usually fully funded with 12 months through the energy consumption savings.
BRAMMER is the UKs largest authorised distributor of new motors from the world’s leading brands, providing a same or next day delivery on a wide range of sizes and configurations, and has more than 5,000 EFF1 and EFF2 motors available from 0.37kW to 250 kW.
