Lord Lieutenant Presents Queen’s Award

Extec Screens and Crushers celebrated receiving the Queen’s Award for Enterprise at an official ceremony on Thursday 13 September 2007.
Mr John Bather, The Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, presented the Award and Official Grant of Appointment to Andrew McManus and Ian English, in front of the company’s staff and Civic guests.
Guests included Mark Todd, MP for South Derbyshire, Derbyshire County Councillor Mrs Joyce Sanders & Mr R Sanders, Councillor Michael Bale, (Chairman of South Derbyshire District Council) & Mrs Bale.
When he presented the Award on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, The Lord Lieutenant congratulated Extec’s staff. Andrew McManus, who accepted the Award said, “The award represents a real British success story, and shows that with the right quality of people, British Manufacturing can still lead the world …”
Extec received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category for the second time in three years. It is recognition of the company’s achievements in the development of state of the art mobile crushing and screening systems. The Award is given to companies that have shown a substantial and sustained increase in export earnings to an outstanding level.
