A Cut above the Rest – Butters launches the versatile AMT Rasor 63 plasma cutter
Monday, December 10th, 2007
Welding and cutting specialist Butters AMT has launched the AMT Rasor 63, a versatile, inverter-based three-phase plasma cutting machine. Ideally suited to light and medium cutting applications, where a three phase 400V supply is available, the machine only requires a 16A fuse to deliver maximum performance.
On full power the AMT Rasor 63’s maximum duty cycle consumes only 10kVA and its cutting capability is up to 25mm. It has a compact, strong cabinet and weights only 18kg, making it ideal for applications where the machine needs to be taken to the work piece.
Julian Knowles, Butters AMT’s Technical Director, comments: “The AMT Rasor 63’s versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of industries where the cutting requirement is mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium or many other metals.”
The AMT Rasor 63’s inverter technology allows for not only the creation of a stable arc (when cutting) but also a continuous pilot arc which can penetrate perforated, painted or rusty metals. Further, the machine features a reset switch on its front panel and a torch safety circuit.
Knowles concludes: “The AMT Rasor 63 is a valuable addition to our growing range of professional plasma cutters. It’s also in keeping with Butters’ philosophy to bring cost-effective, practical and safe equipment to market.”
