CMA Leaching at Amesmessa

Leaching operations began at Amesmessa on December 30, 2007, following receipt of authorization from the Algerian Government, to store and use cyanide at Amesmessa. On December 30, there was 90,000 tonnes of ore on the pad with tonnage being increased daily at design capacity. There are five drippers now under irrigation over a total of 6,000 square meters and the Company expects to continue to expand the area under irrigation on a daily basis.
The Company has tested all circuits for the production of gold doré and expects to make gold pours during January.
Douglas Perkins, CEO of GMA, commented:
“Following the commencement of crushing, which was announced on November 6, 2007, this is the next step towards commercial production at Amesmessa, which is on target for Q2 2008.
