UK-based manufacturer of explosion-proof products, CorDEX Instruments Ltd attended the 9th SABIC Technical Meeting in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia to launch its latest version of the Centurion XP explosion-proof camera the Centurion XP Dual. Certified for use in explosive atmospheres in both vapour and mining applications, the Centurion XP Dual is certified to ATEX standards I/II 2/M2 G / Ex d Mb/ Exd IIC T4 Gb. For the first time this allows inspection professionals to capture crystal clear digital images within hazardous (explosive) areas. Uniquely the Centurion XP Dual is also supplied as standard with both a macro lens (allowing detailed images from as close as 50mm) and a wide angle lens for larger views.
The Centurion XP Dual is supplied as standard with two illumination options for low light working conditions. The high intensity strobe flash enables wide area illumination while the low intensity LED lamp is designed for close up work and movie capture.
“This product is another example of the innovative approach to supporting safety of our customers, and is a logical extension for our existing explosion-proof digital camera range”, stated Marcus Halliday, General Manager at CorDEX Instruments.
