International inspection and analysis specialist Stewart Group has promoted Imen Boudjelida to a new key role as business development manager – mining. Imen will now be a central part of Stewart Group’s continuing initiatives to improve and develop its services around the globe and provide a dedicated focus on the mining sector.
In a move that characterises Stewart Group’s expansive outlook for 2010, Imen has been promoted from her position as business development manager for Stewart Group’s UK subsidiary, Stewart Inspection and Analysis Ltd, just two years after taking on the role.
Sitting between Stewart Group’s two operating divisions of Inspection & Analysis and Geochemical & Assay, Imen will work closely with mining companies to strengthen Stewart Group’s global network of laboratories and inspection facilities to provide the utmost service and dedicated solutions to all customers. The company is working to ensure customers receive timely, accurate, reliable results from a wide array of services in key regions and remote locations across the world.
Recent additions to this network include Stewart Group’s new strategic alliance with major Canadian Mineralogy & Metallurgy provider G&T Metallurgical Services, a management agreement with South Africa based Volclay Trading Pty and the opening of a new Stewart Group facility in Nordenham Port, Germany.
Imen’s background includes extensive experience in the chemicals industry, managing sales for companies in Europe as well as across the Middle East, the Americas and Africa.
Commenting on her new role, Imen Boudjelida said: “With the growing activities of the mining industry requiring tailored and advanced quality solutions from inspection, analysis, geochemical and assay providers, I think it’s important to respond by offering a complete and unified service. While recognising the importance of local and regional facilities, we also understand that knowledge of international markets is vital to provide the service our customers require.”
Chris Walker, Stewart Group Deputy Managing Director, said: “With recent developments in Germany, Canada and South Africa Stewart Group is improving its already reliable services by developing sites in key regions. Imen’s appointment will help develop these operations further and ensure Stewart Group’s services maintain a continued global reach.”
