DEUTZ AG establishes sales and service company in China
Monday, July 12th, 2010
DEUTZ AG is establishing a sales and service company in China. The Cologne-based engine manufacturer already has two joint ventures in China for its locally manufactured engines. These are now being joined by a sales and service company which will bring together all of the company’s activities in the Chinese market. Until now, DEUTZ AG only had a representative office in Beijing.
China is the largest growth market for DEUTZ in Asia. The establishment of a subsidiary in Beijing will enhance the range of services offered locally to both new and existing customers. This represents another foundation stone in DEUTZ’s success in the world’s most important growth market and will considerably enhance the company’s market presence.
Bernd Freudenmann, 37, will be the company’s Chief Executive Officer. He already has more than seven years’ experience working in various senior managerial positions for DEUTZ in the Asia region. Most recently, Bernd Freudenmann headed up the DEUTZ subsidiary ‘DEUTZ Asia-Pacific (Pte) Ltd.’ in Singapore.
