RUSAL, a leading global aluminium producer, is delighted to announce the appointment of Roman Andryushin as Deputy CEO of RUSAL for Sales in Russia, the CIS and China. The Company is also delighted to see the return of Steve Hodgson as Director of Sales and Marketing. Both appointments are testament to the Company’s refreshed and innovative growth plans.

In his new position, Roman Andryushin will be responsible for developing one of the strategic sales areas – the domestic market, introducing new innovative products manufactured by RUSAL, as well as managing export sales to China and interacting with RUSAL’s key traders. This appointment will strengthen the Company’s presence in these markets and will give a fresh input to the development of RUSAL’s sales system.

Roman Andryushin has been working for RUSAL since 2000. In 2007, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of RUSAL Marketing GmbH. From 2014 to 2018, he held the role as Sales Director for the Russian and CIS markets. From 2018 to the present day, he headed up RUSAL’s Sales and Marketing team.

Steve Hodgson will be responsible for commercial operations and aluminium sales in the European, Asian and American markets. He will also continue the commercialization of RUSAL’s low carbon aluminium ALLOW. Steve Hodgson joined RUSAL in 2002 initially as Sales Director, then, from 2004 to March 2006, he was the Director of the Alumina division. From 2006 to 2007, he was the Head of the RUSAL representative office in Australia. From 2010 to 2012, he worked as Director of International Sales and, from 2012 to 2018, was the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Evgenii Nikitin, CEO of RUSAL, said: “The development of aluminium consumption in Russia and China has always been a key focus for the Company. Roman’s appointment in a highly competitive and rapidly changing environment should bring interaction with our consumers in the domestic market to a new level, as well as strengthening our presence in East Asia. In addition, as Roman has worked for the Company for over 20 years, his vast experience couldn’t be better suited to his new Deputy CEO title alongside contributing to the development of our long-term relations with our key partners”.

Evgenii Nikitin continued: “I am also delighted to welcome Steve back into the RUSAL team, particularly at such an exciting time of our development. Steve’s wealth of knowledge of both the Company and market developments in the low carbon aluminium space is well aligned to RUSAL’s decarbonisation goal of significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions among all of its operations. I wish the best of luck to both of our colleagues as we look to the future with confidence.”
