Global Lithium Resources has signed a native title mining agreement with the Kakarra Part B Native Title Group, marking a key milestone for the company’s Manna lithium project in Western Australia.

The agreement, executed between Global Lithium’s wholly owned subsidiary GLR Australia and the Kakarra Part B Native Title Group, paves the way for the project’s development and ongoing operations while delivering benefits to Traditional Owners.

With the agreement now in place, Global Lithium will push ahead with other key priorities, including approvals and work streams tied to the optimisation of the definitive feasibility study and the mining lease application. Both milestones remain on track for completion before the end of 2025.

During the signing ceremony, held on-country with Traditional Owners, Global Lithium managing director Dianmin Chen said he was grateful to the Kakarra Part B Native Title Group for their constructive engagement throughout the process.

“Successfully negotiating a Native Title Mining Agreement that ensures the Kakarra Part B Native Title Holders will benefit from the future development of the Manna lithium project, alongside the company’s shareholders, was a priority for me and my team when taking on the role of managing director in February 2025,” Chen said.

Speaking on behalf of the Kakarra Part B Native Title Group, Traditional Owner Dennis Forrest welcomed the agreement and the respectful way the milestone was celebrated.

“We believe this Native Title Mining Agreement over the Manna project has the potential to provide lasting benefits to our community,” Forrest said. “We look forward to seeing a lithium mine get built there in the near future.”

The Manna lithium project is the third-largest lithium resource in the prolific Eastern Goldfields region, hosting a mineral resource of 51.6 million tonnes at one per cent lithium oxide.
