Sandvik has signed a strategic equipment and services agreement with Subterra Asset Solutions to deliver safer, more reliable and higher-performing flameproof solutions to Australia’s underground mining sector.

Under the agreement, Sandvik will supply an initial fleet of 10 new Sandvik LS312 flameproof underground loaders to the specification developed with Subterra. The 12-metric-ton loaders are purpose-built to meet the rigorous demands of underground operations in challenging environments and designed for high-demand applications.

The first Sandvik LS312 units will be shipped from Sandvik’s Khomanani production unit in South Africa and are scheduled to arrive in Australia during Q2 2026.

Subterra Asset Solutions is an Australia-based underground mining equipment specialist, providing fleet rental and smart asset management solutions tailored for demanding environments, supported by responsive service and technical expertise.
