ASX-listed Arrow Minerals‘ Pilbara iron-ore landholding is poised to grow by more than 400% to 1 600 km2.
The company’s latest target comprises the Turee Creek iron-ore project, with 12 new first-in-time applications for exploration ground having been launched.
This applied-for land tenure includes prospects immediately adjacent, or in close proximity, to large iron-ore operations of Rio Tinto, Fortescue, Mineral Resources and Hancock Prospecting.
Three of the tenement applications are located within 60 km of a bulk commodity export port built to cater for new iron-ore exporters.
If granted, the tenements will increase Arrow’s Pilbara landholding to more than 1 600 km2.
The Turee Creek iron-ore project is located about 40 km along strike from the Paraburdoo and Channar iron-ore operations of Rio Tinto.
“We are fast building a potentially company-making land position in the heart of the world-class Pilbara iron-ore province.
“The Turee Creek project acquisition and tenement applications will give us direct access to highly prospective geology and numerous drilling targets on the doorsteps of some of the Pilbara’s biggest iron-ore operations.
“We are already exploring potential infrastructure solutions, and we will work with key stakeholders to target staged export operations through Mardie in the West Pilbara and Utah in Port Hedland,” confirms MD David Flanagan.
He concludes Arrow’s focus will be on low capital expenditure, shared infrastructure and speed to market.
