Canadian miner McEwen Copper plans to carry out an initial public offering (IPO) of about $300-million toward the end of this year as part of a financing push to advance the Los Azules copper project in Argentina, Michael Meding, the company’s MD, said.

McEwen Copper is a subsidiary of McEwen Mining, the main shareholder of Los Azules, a copper mine located in San Juan province.
