Caterpillar dealer WesTrac has introduced a new way to sell used, refurbished and as-new parts through its Flexiparts & Mining Services.

The company hopes the new business will provide more affordable parts and machinery to the mining sector.

FlexiParts will become a separate entity from WesTrac to focus on sourcing and selling parts, components and attachment solutions to a global network of customers.

Parts are also available to purchase online.

With the ability for customers to sell used machinery and parts, FlexiParts also offers the capability to purchase and dismantle machines to offer a wide range of components to its customers.

Non-powertrain products include exchange and outright purchase options through the businesses.

WesTrac general manager mining & FlexiParts Travis Cargill said customers are demanding more flexibility, faster delivery time and lower costs for new parts and components.

“The major advantage of FlexiParts & Mining services is that it provides customers with cost-effective options, sourced specifically for their needs, from anywhere in the world,” he said.

“That often reduces wait times that can occur when purchasing new parts and provides customers with significant savings.

“It’s also important to note that while the business is evolving into a standalone entity, it will continue to maintain its close ties with other divisions within WesTrac and retain in-depth familiarity of customer sites and requirements.”

FlexiParts customers will also be given the opportunity to have their items sent using a transport frame to safely deliver the items.

“We’ve put a lot of emphasis on ensuring we can provide fit-for-purpose transport frames for a large range of parts, so customers know they not only have access to well-priced parts, but delivery to site will be a seamless process.”
