Track’em has secured a contract with Primero to apply its material tracking solution to complete construction works on a Western Australian iron ore project.
The technology increases visibility and control of materials, by providing a central, cloud-based tracking solution for materials across the supply chain.

By using Track’em’s system, Primero and its project partners will be able to manage, monitor, update and report on materials in real-time from any location.

“We’re really excited to partner with a successful, fast-growing, multi-disciplinary engineering company such as Primero,” Track’em founder and chief executive officer Kashif Saleem said.

“Track’em will allow Primero to take ownership of the materials control processes to streamline operations. It promotes efficiency and reduces the risk of losing expensive materials with long lead times.”

As well as the Track’em technology, Primero will also have access to the Track’em app, which will further enable users to locate, scan and update parts and components while digitising form-based processes, including inspections and transfer documents.

Primero general manager for project delivery Mark Pensabene said the company was “very impressed” by Track’em’s technology and also chose to partner with the company as it is Western Australian based.

“For this project, with the volume of materials required, we needed a world-class materials control system,” Pensabene said.

“(Track’em) is the most sophisticated materials tracking platform that we’ve ever come across, yet it is surprisingly simple to use.

“It will equip workers throughout the supply chain, from our fabricators to site, to use a single system giving us end-to-end visibility.”
