Global provider of conveying, treatment technology and tyre repair products and services, REMA TIP TOP, has acquired the conveyor technology division of Nuova Emil Riv in northern Italy.

The deal strengthens REMA TIP TOP’s market position for rubber conveyor belts, idlers and anti-wear liners in quarry, industrial and construction sectors.

REMA TIP TOP has operated for almost a century and has expended across continents to employ 8000 people with more than 180 subsidiaries and associated companies including Dunlop Belting Products and Asplit.

Nuova Emil Riv is now more than 40 years old having made a name for itself in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy.

Earlier in January, REMA TIP TOP also acquired Swiss conveyor supplier Polytechna AG for its well-known manufacturing prowess of conveyor belts, drum motors and drive rollers, checkweighers, metal detectors, and track & trace systems.

REMA TIP TOP managing director Petra Vontz said Polytechna’s quality matched well with REMA’s.

“Markets change, customer requirements become more complex. For years, REMA-TIP TOP Vulc-Material AG and Polytechna AG have shared the commitment to exceed our customers’ expectations with a broad product range, technical know-how and customer service at the highest level,” Vontz said.
