Mongolia plans to export 60 million tons of coal in 2024, Minister of Finance Javkhlan Bold announced at a plenary session of the Parliament.

Most of the coal is mined in the Tavan Tolgoi coal deposit, which is one of the largest coal deposits in the world. Its reserves amount to 6.5 billion tons of coal. About 40% of the reserves is high-calorie coking coal.

According to the National Statistics Committee of Mongolia, the country has achieved goal of exporting 48.9 million tons of coal by the end of September this year.
