Mining3 has partnered with project controls software provider InEight to support the delivery of its CATCH4 Program, a major initiative aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions from underground coal mining.

Mining3, which works with mining companies, mining equipment, technology and services (METS) providers, and research institutions globally, is implementing a suite of InEight project controls solutions to strengthen collaboration and improve program delivery across its international partner network.

The CATCH4 Program is focused on commercialising the abatement of low-concentration methane in underground coal mines using catalysts, a technology with the potential to significantly reduce emissions at scale.

As part of the partnership, Mining3 will deploy InEight Document, InEight Schedule, InEight Control, InEight Change, and InEight Report & Explore to improve information management, streamline processes and enhance project visibility.

“Programs like CATCH4 bring together diverse expertise across industry and research,” Mining3 program director Dr Adrian Seyfaee said.

“Having a connected environment for managing information, timelines, and performance is critical to ensuring we can move efficiently from concept through to deployment.”

Dr Seyfaee said strengthening program delivery capabilities was important to accelerating the transition of research into practical industry outcomes.

InEight chief executive officer Jake Macholtz said the company was proud to support organisations advancing innovation in the mining sector through complex collaborative programs.
